In total, the kingdom’s law enforcement agencies have been able to find more than 450 assets: real estate and other assets worth hundreds of millions of euros.
The media outlet could not specify in which cases the decision to freeze the objects was made, but adds that the percentage is very high.
The news agency recalled that on February 21, Belgium, which holds the presidency of the EU Council, reported that EU ambassadors had agreed on the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions, which will come into force by February 24.
It provides for the blacklisting of about 200 individuals and legal entities not only of Russia, but also of several of its partners, including China, Iran and North Korea.
As we have already written, the European Union has adopted the 13th package of sanctions against Russia. The restrictions apply to another 106 individuals and 88 legal entities responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
It should be noted that the United Kingdom has introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation. They are aimed at the Kremlin’s key sources of income, restricting trade in metals, diamonds and energy resources, as well as against those who supply ammunition.
We should add that the US government has also introduced a large-scale package of sanctions against Russia for its aggressive war in Ukraine and the death of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny.
